Yeah to me it seems all off Yuris knockdowns were based on off balance, not on a weak chin. He was always up fast and showed no signs of being really hurt.

So... was Aaron Pryor chinny, too? Or Larry Holmes? Or Ali?

Champs who occasionally get decked and get up to win are hardly chinny. On the other hand, guys who get decked and are out cold or knocked dizzy for a week... yeah, that's chinny.

Gamboa, at least to this point, is hardly the latter. That's just ******.

Hate the guy if you want. But don't be an idiot.

There is going to be high expectations for him to deliver the same kind of performance against who ever he fights next.

At 29, Jones had already defeated Toney and Hopkins and was considered the best fighter in the sport. Gamboa isn't anywhere near there, which is why he's being moved so quickly. He does have natural gifts. Not on par with Jones but at an elite level. I think he's honed those gifts and isn't as careless as he once was. He's in his prime now and he needs the big names pronto.

I agree with this! He has no time to have an off night like he has in the past against mostly second tier opposition. Since we know Bob won't put Lopez in with Gamboa, I think if he fights Chris John and wins, that would be a huge statement and he would surpass Lopez since after Salido, Lopez will be fighting Rafael Marquez again. I don't know if Chris John or his promoter will take the fight but I sure hope so...
