Hey, I used to pronounce his name Re-meh-kulov until I heard it on TV. I'm terrible with this ****. I used to see the word epitome in print and thought it was "epi-toam", not realizing that it was the same word as "epi-to-mee". I went around for years like that until someone set me straight.
