Gamboa did not impress me last night

In a way I agree with the OP and I'm a huge Gamboa fan, don't know why people are freaking out about his opinion. Gamboa went in there and did what he was suppose to do, I even predicted around the same round it happened before the fight. It was also evident Solis was just there for a paycheck, and as soon as he felt Gamboa's power and speed he pretty much knew it was over. Good win for Gamboa but I really wanna see him in there with the Lopez and Chris John's of the world, he's ready for that no more journeymen.Comment

This is the first fight i see from Gamboa, one thing i noticed is he is pretty fast and packs a punch. i think 2 of the 5 knock downs were mostly his sloppy punches to the back of the head, i Dont want to take anything away from him it was a great fight, but i am scared for lopez man his chin is questionable , my opinion Gamboa ko's lopez.Comment

You weren't impressed because you expected it from him, ok. Nonetheless I want everyone's points betting on Juanma so make that happen folks.Comment

a guy as skilled, talented, and experienced as gamboa, it's hard to impress when everyone is at a WAY LOWER skill and game level than you/him.
it's not until we see him fight the top names and what he does and how he handles it.
gamboas experience level is unlike anyone else in boxing, very few have as much experience as him, and although, it's amateur experience, he's seen enough and has skill enough to apply his knowledge from experience in the professional ranks.
it's going to take someone who is in his league to make him really shine, because as of right now he's not even being challenged, sad to say, and no disrespect to those who have fought him but the guy is a cut above the rest.
he has flaws, every fighter does, but the only thing i see missing is the lack of top quality opposition. the more he looks human in the ring, the more likely fighters will take gamboa on...
i like watching him, and am impressed by his speed and ability to do whatever he wants, when he wants, inside the ring, im not a fan of the roy jones type boxing, but then again, he has the goods to offset what looks like clowning around but it's really a groove finder for him, and the same with a lot of fighters that have similar antics.
bottom line, gamboa just needs to fight the quality opposition to really showcase his talents, right now, these fights are just " trailers " into what he has in store for the future and for great fighters HE SHOULD be facing in the near future.
his talent and his vulnerability make him a great match up with all the top names in and around where ever his size can take him..........Comment
