Floyd Mayweather Jr. loves to gamble.This is the 1st time I see FLoyd bet on Boxing. He bet $325,000.00 on the under 9.5 rounds at -140 to win $232,145.85 Is it professional to bet on your own sport? How ironic that FLoyd made money on a top rank fighter.

Good choice and I honestly see alot of simalirities in Gamboa n Mayweather. Gamboa is the better fighter but JuanMa is the draw with Top Rank. Just like Floyd was the better fighter but De La Hoya was the draw. Gamboa is a young confident skillful boxer that has had a great amatuer background like Floyd.

Gamboa will not resign with Top Rank due to this 2nd rate citizen bull****.

1. It is "professional" since he knows more about boxing. It's probably better than he betting on say baseball. Not sure about the ethical aspect. Is there a rule explicitly against it?

2. What makes you think Gamboa will be a better draw elsewhere besides Top rank?

for all of u guys that thinks he has a ******** problem, i guess he does, but from the bets ive seen him make, they are very informed, safe bets. im sure he may lose a little but he probably dont lose that much. u wanna lose money, bet on football...if i remember correctly, floyd doesnt.

why do ppl think sports betting is like ********??? it isnt...i mean yea its hard to guess what will happen in any event. but with that said, you can make very informed bets and make money off of them. hes not throwing as much money away as you think.

I've been betting on boxing for 6 years now and I have ended each year with more money than I put in the account to begin it.

The reason people lose money is because they feel compelled to bet on everything and dont have the patience to wait for only the best opportunities.

You've also gotta have the balls to put down the big bet when the moment comes.

I had $1500 on Andre Dirrell to beat Arthur Abraham and he was a 2.25-1 underdog. I even had $100 on Dirrell to win by KO, TKO or DQ at 16-1 odds.

All told I won about 5 grand on that fight.

Also, had the balls to put $200 on Zuri Lawrence to beat a 44-1 Polak named Albert Sosnowski at 10-1 odds on Friday Night Fights a few years back.

That worked out as well.

Sometimes it doesn't... for instance I had $500 on Maidana to beat Khan by KO at 5.5-1 odds. Didn't work out but I would do it again in a heartbeat if I got the same odds.
