For now, promoter Lou DiBella’s thoughts on his thoroughbred, middleweight king Sergio Martinez facing an undefeated titlist from Russia is an exclamation not fit for print – “F**k Dmitry Pirog.”
But as long as that fighter continues to win, the boxing landscape could eventually reach a point where his stance is altered to “F**k, Dmitry Pirog.” [Click Here To Read More]
Pirog is fantastic to watch from both an excitement and analytical point of view.

Martinez would beat Pirog pretty easily IMO. However, fights are won in the ring and not on paper.
There is zero percent chance that Pacquiao or Mayweather will fight Martinez anytime soon. Anyone who believes that one or the other will step in the ring with this man is nothing more but a ****rider.
Lets be honest Sturm will never leave Germany again
So who else is there for Martinez to fight? Anybody who's saying Pirog should do this and do that, what for? He's really the only true option that is somewhat of a threat.
We should really be demanding this fight. Because, the 2 biggest divas are not into fighting any threats anymore. And, we should not make excuses for Martinez to be the same as them.
I don't care that he's 35, B-Hop is what? 46? Fighting a top LHW next. Why can't Martinez do the same?
And, I really like Martinez as well. But, Pirog is the best most realistic fight that can happen. So make it happen.

More like his last step in pursuit of Martinez. Certainly didn't show anything today that would make a Martinez fight the slightest bit competitive. Bring on Golovkin.

And you can't expect guys to fight into their late 40's, Hopkins is a special breed, very few have been that good at that age.
Martinez stated that he has two years left in the game. Obviously there is time for Pirog, but I dont want to see the kid get broken just yet.

After Pirog's performance tonight, perhaps DiBella will reconsider. Sergio is only interested in regaining his WBC belt, but there's time for him to reclaim the WBO belt too.
You also got to remember that the WBO gave Sergio a window to vacate his WBC 154 title in order for them to give him his WBO 160 belt back. Sergio vacated well before the deadline, but they didn't give him his belt back.
If I were him, I wouldn't give a fuck about that belt.

The minute Martinez were to beat the crap out of Pirog, all the people saying that he would lose against Pirog would say that Pirog was too green. Get off of Martinez's nuts because homie is knocking out waaaay better fighters with waaaay more experience than Pirog. Fact of the matter is that Martinez can't even get a fight with the top guys (he is trying) but yet he doesn't want none with Pirog? Please spare me.

Pirog needs to get more experience before he fights someone like Sergio, it would be just like Dzinziruk fight.
