Looks to me like Maciel is tryin' to get through the fight w/o gettin' KO rather than tryin' real hard to win. Hard to look spectacular against a decent guy who is fighting in survival mode.

Maciel's a bit of a spoiler. He doesn't put up an offensive effort but he has been well-taught defensively. I guess Pirog's management expected a different kind of opponent based on his nickname and where he is from.

A nice display of boxing in round 7. Pirog I think was hurt by the body shots.

Maciel cautiously throwing punches again in the 7th.. but when he does connect he's landing the harder shots. Pirog seems to be throwing soft punches.. hitting him with some good body shots though.

Damn Maciel threw some great body shots that round
