Vitali's power is not overrated. This is an insult. His record speaks for itself. It shows how much power he has in the fight vs Lewis. That was not an easy win for Lewis & in my opinion if Vitali wasn't cut like he was Lewis would have been stopped.
Is Vitali Klitschkos power vastly overrated?

Are you guys out of your minds? Vitali Klitschko is one of the most heavyhanded fighters in the history of the sport. Ask his opponents if he doesn't hit hard. He can knock you down with one shot & has done it on plenty of occasions. He ended Sosnowski & Solis with one punch. The demise of his power is greatly exagerrated. You DON'T obtain the highest knockout percentage in the history of the heavyweight division by being featherfisted. If Vitali hits you right..you're going down no matter who you are. Briggs got more of a massive beating than Sanders did & unoffically got tko'ed 4 times in there fight if the corner was doing there job. Vitali has ONLY failed to KO 5 fighters in his entire career. 2 because they were inmcomplete fights & he was injured & NOT 100% for the duration of the bouts. Briggs was Ko'ed for all intent purposes... KJ.. excelled in defense & didn't bring offense whatsoever because he was scared ****less of Vitali & Hoffman didn't get Ko'ed because this was the first bout after his shoulder injury to Bird..The 5 fighters who didn't get knockedout won a total of 4 rds tops. There has been no one stronger or more dominant than Vitali Klitschko in the history of the divison. He has dominated every opponent he's ever faced.. no one comes close to his destruction.Comment

I'd venture to say punch for punch.. Vitali is the hardest & most heavyhanded puncher in heavyweight in terms of connects during a fight.. No one lands more consistently than he does..in fact no slugger throws & lands more shots than he has during fights...that's why he has the highest knockout accuracy in heavyweight history...he simply lands more telling blows & hard shots than any other slugger. Only times he ever stops throwing leather is when he can't.
He has supreme confidence in his defense & reflexes that he just keeps his hands at his waist daring you to come at him..his hand is loaded with dynamite ready to strike you if you invade his space like a viper ready to dismantle his prey. NAME any other heavy hitter in history that DOES not need to set or plant his feet while letting his hands go. Throwing punches for him is an instinct for him.
He learned in hisz kickboxing days that if you're going to protect yourself,,, you have to be on the offensive at ALL times no matter what.. Case in point... Chris Arreola... that was one of the rare times where he let a fighter come to him..gave Chris the green light to try to him & Chris couldn;t. What fighter outslugs you by backing up??? Vitali outslugged ChRIS by countering him & essentially just playing defense. If that fight doesn't prove what i'm talking about..nothing will. He's a brilliant slugger & without a doubt the smartest slugger in boxing history in terms of boxing IQ.... BELIEVE that!Comment

2o9 rds fought in 44 fights..... some fighters lose all 12 rds in a bout. Vitali arguably hasn't lost 12 rds in his ENTIRE career.... Get off your high horses people & realize that his opponents have NOTHING to do with his dominance.
Comes a time that a knowledgable boxing fan has to realize that he makes his competition more futile than they actually are. Who outboxes Chris Byrd for 90% of 9 rds without getting the W...who outboxes LENNOX LEWIS for 2/3 of there bout & doesn't get the W.. Who OUTBOXES a Larry Donald for 11 rds & then knocks him out.
Say what you want about Donald but that dude can box if nothing else & Vitali toyed with him. The guy is 6 ft 8 with incredible boxing intellect size & strength. Do you really think anyone from the past can outbox him? You don't think he'd make Shannon Briggs out of George Foreman..it'd be such a one sided beatdown...it's not even funny. One dimensional sluggers have absolutely no chance against him. Mike Tyson would get murdered trying to even reach Vitali. Same with smokin' Joe. Ali & Louis.Marciano would be fodder.. ALI mIGHT give a little trouble with his movement but certainly would be outboxed from the outside. You're dealing with a fighter here that has ALL the advantages over EVERYONE he fights.. NO EXCEPTIONS.. lets his hands go at ALL times..can't be outslugged or outboxed.
Can't get any more dominant than being the absolute best at stopping your opponent & absolute best at outboxing them as well. Sorry guys.. Vitali Klitschko in my eyes is the mandatory favorite over ANY fighter in the history of boxing not only because of his superior size & strength but he simple knows how to FIGHT!Comment

Unless you think Vitali is going to sweep him and then get him in a hold in a boxing match ?.Comment

One more thing.. he's a badass..lean & mean. He's one of the few aside for maybe Foreman or Sonny Liston who would have an invincible Mike Tyson pissing in his pants at the prefight staredowns. Vitali is intimidated by NO one. He was piercing right through Lewis in there prefight staredowns...nuff said. He wanted to destroy Hasim Rahman in there one & only staredown for calling him "chicken". Hasim is LUCKY Vitali sustained all those injuries as the beating he would've gotten for questioning Vk's manhood would've at the very least been career ending. The 2 fights that should've happened for closure is the Byrd rematch & Rahman. Lewis rematch never happened but Vk MORE than made his point. Byrd & Rahman needed to get ktfo by him & NOT by his brother just on principal.. Oh well..you can't have a perfect career.. a 50-0 Vitali KLITSCHKO would just be too much evidence...so it has to be 42-2....It's like god said we have to make you completely dominant but have to give you a couple of blemishes along the way so they REALLY don't think you're a programmed robot & are indeed human..hence the 2 blemishes on his record due to a failure of his physical health & nothing else.Comment

You don't have to KO someone flt to have power.
Listen if Shannon Briggs was kept at bay by Vitali's hands that's power; that's respect of power and Briggs has a great chin. Besides, 5+ years agi Vitali's power was insane! His KO's of Kirkland and Hide were something else!Comment
