Lara was looking for the big punch which had lead him to 1st rd Ko's in recent fights and had a hard time changing the game plan. He needs to learn to throw combos and a stiff jab if he wants to compete with the top dogs, especially in S MW where the real champ hangs.

One problem I see with the Cubans, and fighters in general, is that their inside game is weak. That's a recipe for disaster.

Vanes is chump change if he faces Maravilla. Win a belt and then face the man Mr wannabe. Nice resume, but no top fighter either. Some guys come to fight and others try to look good. Experience makes the look gooders look foolish in time.

Maravilla is a real Jr MW and a small MW that will clean out anyboday in this area.

Why r u talking about maravilla on this thread... U just can't take the fact that Lara was exposed and got beat by a bum and yea I consider this a loss since two judges scored it draw and the third gave it to Molina.... I guess Lara goes back to calling out bums and shuts his mouth about vanes

I'm not going to front, I was one of the ones talking about him giving Sergio Martinez a possible challenge in a year's time. For some reason, I thought his record was a little better than it actually is. He has fought nobody. His record is more embarrassing than the Cubans that have like 8 fights. And a Carlos Molina that has been out of the ring for 2 years let me know this dude ain't about a damn thing. Has he actually regressed under Shields?

The difference between kassim ouma and Carlos Molina is everyone on this site knows ouma and noone knows Carlos Molina. What matters to me and in the record book is what the judges thought of the fight not your little brain that can't get past the hate to judge a fight fairly... Bottom line is Lara drew a bum nobody ever heard of and vanes won against ouma...go check boxrec if u don't believe me... Lara , what a joke all this talk of callig out top fighters and the guy doesn't have a plan b against a c level fighter... Lmfao

LOL how is Lara a "HYPEJOB", on this FORUM I am the only one that talks about him lol...and he would STILL beat the **** out of Vanes, lets not get crazy after one damn fight in which he probably just had a OFF NIGHT...IT HAPPENS!

Lara just didn't let his hands go...UNTIL Rounds 8, 9 and 10, it is not like he had trouble landing on Molina, when he let his hands go he had no problems landing, I seen A LOT of Lara fights and I have never seen him look this bad, even his Corner was SCREAMING AT HIM

I personally thought Molina won the fight...hopefully they setup a rematch, I think Lara would come out much more aggressive in a rematch and DESTROY Molina...but WE SHALL SEE!

One "Hiccup" from Lara is not going to hurt him, just come out in a rematch and be more aggressive and let his hands go and it is a EASY FIGHT!

I wouldnt really say he was exposed...he became one dimensional but he's not a one dimensional fighter...he will learn from this
