I see some people here calling Pavlik not that good and everything, but I don't think he's a real easy fighter to beat either by the same tokken unless you are a master boxer. Calzaghe aint as skilled as Hopkins (Yeah, he won a narrow controversial decision over Hopkins, so what) or Martinez. He's a lot easier to hit than both of those guys.

And people bash Martinez for fighting with his hands down, but Calzaghe invites people to take a free shot at his chin. I say Pavlik would've given him a decent fight but probably would've lost to him.

I know if Calzaghe would've beaten Pavlik though people including me would've discredited the win a little bit over time seeing what Martinez did to him. Similar to the Lacy win, with Pavlik losing to better fighters than Lacy the cop killing sex offender did.

Pavlik, Dawson, Froch, and Johnson were all calling out Calzaghe, I think after the Hopkins fight. Calzaghe said no to all 4 and fought Jones.

Pavlik and Froch were the one's trying the hardest to get the Calzaghe fight. Dawson did an open letter asking for a fight nicely with Calzaghe, it was posted here on boxingscene's "Comments thread". Glen Johnson did the same thing as Dawson. Neither of the 4 got the fight obviously.

Well it's the truth and Kev said it best. He could have great enhanced his legacy beating those 4 fighters or even rematching Hopkins. Instead he fights the washed up bum ass Roy Jones. That's what separates him from being good or great. He waited til last minute to even fight decent fighters and but didn't go the extra mile to prove his greatness.
