funny thing is,they say Pavlik (the middleweight champion) was nobody in 2008 and Joey not fighting him is ok.

Pavlik, Dawson, Froch, and Johnson were all calling out Calzaghe, I think after the Hopkins fight. Calzaghe said no to all 4 and fought Jones.

Pavlik and Froch were the one's trying the hardest to get the Calzaghe fight. Dawson did an open letter asking for a fight nicely with Calzaghe, it was posted here on boxingscene's "Comments thread". Glen Johnson did the same thing as Dawson. Neither of the 4 got the fight obviously.
