No one claimed here about who threw what first mate.

The OP was just describing the resemblance in both punches.

Yes, overhand rights were around long before Pacquiao and Martinez, i just thought it looked similar considering both fighters were essentially looking at the ground when it landed. No one is saying anything anyone ever did was done before by Pac, just an observation.

interesting, so southpaws can throw similiar punches? amazing.

I dont think Martinez could have taken a page from Pacquiao's playbook, since Pacquiao doesnt have one. No offense meant to Manny, but what he does isnt that complicated...he just does it really ****ing well.

I was just saying the punches were similar, and i hadn't really noticed how much until last night, playbook was just the line i chose for the title, I'm not saying Pac is god , or that Martinez should be thanking him for the win.

I wasnt suggesting you thought that, but its a really standard punch for southpaws. not much to comment on, imo. but I meant no offense.

Some people are just reading too much into it, but honestly, i don't think an overhand right landing clean while the fighter is ducking a shot and looking at the ground is very common.

So are you saying that JMM and Ricky have the same chin? We all knew Ricky has been knocked out cold before...
