i dont want to make this an issue of race, but in this case it may be. i personally dont think it matter what race you are, if your a better boxer, than your a better boxer. i know you like margarito, but he is totally unproven. what makes you think he would beat, never mind stop floyd, who rite now, is the p4p king???

I think margartio could beat Mayweather by stoppage...

Not because his skills are as good or even as close to mayweather's ... they are not...

Not because he is as fast or even close... he is not.

Simply because Margarito is so much bigger, and has so much more reach than just about anyone floyd has faced, has tons of stamina, is super hungry, isnt gun shy, is strong.

I guess you could say I choose Margarito because he is a SOLID risk/prospect/champ/fighter at a weight I believe Mayweather would be at a serious disadvantage.

This isnt Roy Jones Jr. (good small fighter) vs Ruiz (very bad heavy fighter) scenerio.. This is Mayweather (good small fighter) vs Margarito (Solid big fighter)

Peep this...Floyd has no chance in hell of stopping Antonio Margarito. Now you call can go change your posts so as not to look like total homers.

All Mexican fighters have problem with slick boxers. PBF is the best. If a guy like Raheem outboxes Morales, just think what PBF will do to Margarito. I think Morales is like 10 times better then Margarito & PBF is so much better then Raheem. . Margarito is slow & he can't really box. PBF by late TKO. Easy win for Mayweather.

PBF would make AM look silly. I don't think he'd stop him but AM would be countered all night. This is the same AM that struggled with Antonio Diaz who Mosely blew out in under 5 rounds. Yes AM is solid but he's a bit overrated by some in the forums. I'd like to see him fight Joshua Clottey so 2 fighters that no one wants to fight can showcase their talent.

Once Floyd Mayweather can discourage him from coming forward (which won't be as difficult for Mayweather as many people think.) It'll be all downhill for Margarito and a stoppage is very possible. Just look at what Roy use to do when people use to try to come at him all crazy. After he discouraged them (using accurate power punching, up and down, and moving) he would land at will.

I could see Mayweather winning a decision, i said that before, but there's no way he knocks Margarito out. Watch Tony fight a giant Junior Middleweight and take the punches well, before you say a junior welterweight is gonna knock him out. FLOYD is an AWESOME boxer with skills much greater that Margarito, BUT he would be a prettyBOY fighting a real MAN. Tony's work-rate and size are his biggest assets in this fight. And it has nothing to do with race, im admitting that PBF is the number 1 fighter p4p, but pound for pound goes out the window when you're actually in the ring with a bigger guy.

Daniel Santos landed clean shots on Tony in the first 2 rounds and never discouraged him from coming forward. Santos was HUGE for that fight, 170. Do you really think Mayweather moving UP to 147 could discourage Tony? i really doubt it, Mayweather's only chance is a 12 round boxing clinic, with few exchanges.

I actually agree with you, adrsan, but I still think the possibility of a stoppage shouldn't be ruled out.
