Marquez was ranked #2 p4p when Floyd fought him, it's not like he is fighting a certain style only and facing guys coming off devastating losses in "EVENTS". This cuts both ways, while I agree that the PPV situation is bad for the sport, the fact is that Floyd and Manny have to fight on PPV so they can generate more money for upcoming fights.
De La Hoya (At a reasonable weight)
    Hatton (Unbeaten) PPV
Marguez (p4p #2 at the time)
Mosely (Legitimate WW Champ at the time)

    VS

    De La Hoya (Drained)
Hatton (Drained , drug addicted and unfocused)
Cotto (Drained, coming off a terrible loss and gift fights who hadn't looked good in years)
Clottey (Wasn't even ranked coming off a technical loss to a guy Manny destroyed in his previous fight)
Margarito (not ranked coming off a loss and suspension)
Mosley (Coming off a loss and a draw at 40 years old)

Top Rank only sells in house tune ups. Floyd at least fights them while there legitimately ranked.

        And?

You'd rather they take a huge paycut and have it on regular HBO?

There were very few fights that could be made as big as Floyd against Marquez, it's not Floyd's fault Marquez called him out then couldn't deliver the goods.
Pfp#2 does not make U a credible welterweight. If Donaire went to welterweight to fight Floyd, would that make him a credible welterweight being #3 pfp??Thought so.

Unfortunately, they are put on PPV.

                  De La Hoya-Campas

De La Hoya-Sturm (this was viewed as one) along with Hopkins-Allen 3. Thankfully, Castillo-Lazcano was also put on this card.

                  Barrera-Fana? Ugh.

Right now, Floyd or Manny is not #1 to me because they are both inactive or facing less than the best in events. So I guess to me. Martinez, Hopkins, Ward, Floyd, Manny...I don't watch every fight nor do I want to I like certain fighters for certain reasons. I always favor a skilled guy who outclasses there opposition using superior skills.

Also, y'all trippin' thinking I support anything that doesn't require getting this fight out of the way first, too me Floyd needs to take the fight and Manny needs to test and settle this now, **** politics and promotional based grudges, all i care about is the fight nothing else.
