I still think America is better and if any European fighter wants to prove himself he has to come to United States..just the way it is and will be for a long time...That aside, the Klits, Hatton and Tszyu are all great fighters!
Is Europe getting better and better in boxing?

there are many top euro fighters.......but unless they ko a US legend, they are under-rated........thats the way it is.............
names that you didn't mention:
Mikkel Kessler, Artur Abraham, Felx ****** Sturm, Valuev, Adamek, Erdei, Johny Nelson, Clinton Woods, Fabrice Tiozzo, Markus Beyer (even though i hate the prick), Vitali Tsypko, Leonardo Dorin (retired), Howard Eastman, Sergei Dzindziruk, Urkal, Damgaard, Solopov, Junior Witter, M'baye, Janos Nagy, Scott Harrison, Spend Abazi, Mahyar Monshipour, Wladimir Sidorenko, Vic Darchinyan, Brahim Asloum..............and many many more....
these are all either world champions, or top ten contenders........Comment

By the subject line, I'd think you actually think European boxing is good or something.
Uh...it's not.
Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn, and Lennox Lewis are the three great Euro fighters.
Today, the best Euro fighter is Junior Witter. Then probably Ricky Hatton and Calzaghe. That speaks for itself.Comment

hmm
European fighters have some talent, but it don't really mean **** if you just stay in your hometown for nearly all of your career and don't take a risk. The following Euro-fighters garner my respect:
Kessler (fought Mundine in Australian and beat him soundly)
Klitschkos (one of em has a lot of question marks right now, but he does take risks, and the other is clearly the best heavy out there)
Sturm (really trying to get the best at middleweight, fighting top 10 guys, and deserved a slight nod over DLH)
Karmazin (beat Ouma in the U.S., Ouma wins rematch but still give props to Karmazin)
Adamek (beat Briggs recently in the U.S. in a good fight; looks like a top 5 lightheavyweight)
Woods (has faced the best at lightheavyweight (Roy, Julio, Johnson...resume is getting more impressive all the time)
Mormeck (dominated Brathwaite in the U.S. who was thought to be the best, and also beat Virgil Hill)

There are plenty of good Euro fighters, but it seems to me, and correct me if I'm wrong, that in Europe mediocre fighters are hyped up a lot more than they are here. I mean, come on, someone on this thread mentioned Arthur Abraham as a top fighter? Right...
You know, I'm not one of the Euro-bashers on this site so I wouldn't say this if I didn't believe it. But it seems like there's a certain cottage industry in many European countries and possibly the UK as well (though it doesn't seem nearly as bad there) of taking average guys and turning them into "national heroes", quote-unquote. Maybe it's cause there's so many countries, each one wants to have a champion.
I know people are going to say, well, the same thing happens in the States. I disagree. Of course certain overrated fighters get hyped up to inappropriate degrees, but it seems more related to the business of the sport than it does to national pride or politics. I mean, FNF-caliber fighters get light and laser shows when they step into rings in Euro fights, whereas in the States they don't get that kind of hero treatment.Comment

he is a one hit wonder, which he lost..........who fights bums and bums only, in an attempt to get a crack at a title holder in germany.......
he now goes and challenges a title holder who hasn't fought in 18 months and has to travel to germany.........he is a wuss.Comment

Some fighters here definitely get more than they deserve. Matt Vanda and some other *** come to mind. Someone that was on Friday or Tuesday Night fights recently. Had american flag stuff on I think. White hometown guy they were talking way too good about. A Matt Vanda type. And by that, I mean gay and ****ty.Comment
