Judging by your username, I think you are nuthugging just a little bit too much. It was a decent shot and knocked him off balance but I don't think he would've went down without the knee issue. And if you watch the clip where you can see his feet, you can see him slip before the punch even lands. I don't think if his foot slips, that punch knocks him down. Also, immediately after his foot slips, you can see his left hand drop which otherwise would have blocked the shot. It is what it is, a first round TKO for Vitali but even Vitali stated it wasn't a hard enough punch to finish him...

Since we all know Wladimir signed to fight Haye in England two years ago, saying he "won't go to England" is just ******.

Haye hasn't done anything in the last two years to make himself appear to be more of a threat. There isn't much about Haye's style that would make Wladimir nervous. All he has to worry about is a surprise uppercut early on.

Neither side is even talking about England, probably because they know the total purse will be higher if the fight is elsewhere in Europe.

Moscow is probably a bad choice overall, so expect that bid to go away.

Haye said a couple of weeks ago that the Klitschko's didn't want to fight in England, have the Klitschko's denied it?

All Haye has done for the past three years is bad-mouth the Klitschkos to any microphone within range. The Klitschkos don't have the Daily Mail on speed-dial to refute every idiotic thing he says.

Unless someone has a good theory as to why Wladimir was happy to sign to fight Haye in England two years ago, but is frightened now, I think we have to assume Haye is just talking out of his ass as usual.

i sincerely hope this does not go to germany or russia.
although i believe our boy will knock b.i.t.c.h.k.o. out i just feel (like everyone) that a fight in either russia or germany will be unfair in terms of judging.
nobody has an argument with that just look at sven ottke.
                  EXACTLY.

Wouldn't the same argument apply to a fight in England?

Against Wladimir, Haye would have to be crazy to go for a decision. Over a 12-round fight, Wladimir's size advantage, extremely effective jab, and better stamina would wear Haye out (assuming Haye is actually trying to win rounds).

Haye's real hope is to land a surprising, awkward shot early. That is his best weapon. He landed his best punch against Ruiz early, and everyone remembers the amateur fight against Solis, when the only good punch Haye landed was a stunning uppercut when he appeared to be in trouble.

Haye doesn't defend at all well against the jab, so any fight plan requiring him to outbox Wladimir for 12 rounds is a non-starter.

(Vitali is a different story. Solis gave us a hint of how Vitali might be vulnerable to a decision loss against a smaller, quicker fighter . Land enough to win the round, eat jabs, and try to avoid his more damaging punches.)
