If I'm not mistaken, they fought & JC didn't want the rematch in England.

hopkins and calzaghe agreed to fight in 2002, at the last moment hopkins phoned his promoter and pulled out of the fight

hopkins ducked calzaghe, then embarrassed himself a few years later. calzaghe proved even when he is past his prime, he is better.

Why did Hopkins pull out? And was it a Showtime deal or a one-fight deal?

I have a hunch B-Hop's ride is over with the next Pascal fight. Pascal didn't have a good night last time, I don't think he took the fight totally seriously, but he knows what is at stake now.

I'd agree if they were in the same weight class, they fought regardless.

Hopkins faked low blows because his stamina was so pitiful and he was struggling to cope with Calzaghes constant windmills. Should have gone down as a TKO for him after Bhop fell to the ground in exhaustion for ages.. but you know it's Joe Cortez and all...
