Later a new offer of 1,5 million dollars was on the table. At that time Don King accepted the original 2,5 millions dollars offer but it was past that point.
So the last offer was below $2 million? So Valuev is correct in what he is saying.

Why would Vitali want to fight him? Valuev hasn't fought in 1 and a half years and is coming off a loss, he's irrelevant at this point unless he beats some contenders.

Valuev is still a big name and would make him a lot of money.

Sugar Nico is just playing the media game. No big deal.

I'd love to see him and Vitali fight: there'd be an actual fight instead of Valuev having to run around the ring all night trying to catch his cowardly opponent, as with Haye.

When it is all said and done Vitali has done more than enough to try to make this fight. Seriously, Valuev avoided him and hid behind WBC joke mandatories for years. Seriously, how many fights did Valuev need with John Ruiz. In fact if Valuev didnt fight Ruiz to what felt like 8 snorefest draws, perhaps he would be a bigger draw and get more money. He ****ed around with Don King and Sauerland for years, he was offered 2.5 mil to fight when he was still considered a top shelf fighter. Now in the last couple years he has barely beat Ruiz, robbed 83 year old Holyfield, lost to Chagaev, lost to Haye...the only draw is for the freak show...which to me he's lucky hes getting offered over 1 mil. Vitali did more than enough. A champ and a huge star like that shouldnt have to chase down challengers, meet with them in their country face to face...which reminds me, is anyone scarier than Vitali? It seems like anyone who meets him outside the ring, wont fight him. Vitali's always trying to talk people into fighting him...maybe he should stop, because it never works. He needs to start using reverse psychology, coming out with press releases where he says, "I couldnt sleep last night, I was thinking too much about the beating Lewis gave me, Valuev crushing me, and Haye decapitating me...Im scared." Maybe then people would fight him.

I mean come on Vitali, telling someone, "fight me, dont be a slave to fear" isnt going to make them less scared of you. Thats freaking frightening.

Many people, including Haye cheerleader Jim Watt, thought Valuev actually beat Haye (and so did I).

I think Vitali would like to give Valuev an actual fight, instead of a track meet.

And with the sheer size of the two men involved, it would be a BIG fight in every way, literally and figuratively.

Jim Watt thought Haye didn't do enough because he thought the judges would favour Valuev.

Let me say a couple words for Sugar Nico: the Chagaev fight was very close, a split decision I believe, and he did have a nice outing against Liakhovich in there.

I also thought he beat Haye.

I do agree with most of your post, though. Nevertheless, I'd love to see Vitali and Sugar Nico throw down. There would be nowhere to run, nowhere to hide with two men that big in there. It would be fascinating.
