you can't beat pacquiao unless you fight, if you come at him he's coming at you, if your not going at him, he's going at you, manny steward said it before

cotto is an awesome boxer, but he'll have to fight pacquiao to beat him, and that means getting in exchanges and getting hit

Yeah, tell that to his daddy Marquez--who outboxed him for two fights...please, son.

Its true what he said he started good.

I haven't seen no one in the last 3 years. Give Pacquiao a more competitive start. And ppl will mention JMM , but that was the lower weight classes. Pacquiao has grown into a WW. And his speed is always in advantage when he fights.

Some ppl say , well , Pacquiao said he wanted to test Cotto. Okay , maybe yes , one or two punches. But there is no way , Pacquiao did not feel his power.

Im not sure if he will pull it off or not , but Cotto can be more competitive and give himself the biggest chance , if he just boxes Pacquiao for the most part.

You cannot get into a brawl with Pac , you just cant. He has the upper hand in work rate and speed. BLAZING FKN SPEED.

Thats why JMM had so much success against him.

Pacquiao fought Margarito at 150 and not Cotto , because he knew Cotto had skills.

He knew he was going to hit Margarito at will. So 150 was ok for him. But not Ok for Cotto. He had to ask Cotto for 6 more pounds. Not that it would have made any difference. Unless Cotto boxed him all the way.

Cotto has to deliver a perfect fight. No mistakes. he needs that Jab and timing. He needs to counter smart and be precise.

        Easier said than done.
JMM had much more success because JMM is a master boxer and counter puncher, something Cotto is not.

Not a diss on Cotto but he's not on JMM's level as far as being able to do that. It's also a misconception that JMM didn't stand with him, he was moving forward against Pac in many of those exchanges, he's just able to counter incredibly well.

I just don't see any way that Cotto beats Pac, I just don't. I don't think there's anyone out there except Mayweather that has a chance. He's too fast and his punch output is too much. He also is very fast with his FEET not just hands, that's what really makes him so good. He can also do it for 12 rounds, EASY.

Cotto is a hell of a fighter but he's not on the level Pac is, even when he is fighting a perfect tactical fight. He did everything he was supposed to in the first two rounds but in the end, it was Pac's work rate and speed that won the day and another fight won't change that.

I kinda agree with him. He was doing ok when he boxed Pac behind the jab. He got caught with that uppercut when he was swinging for the fences, trading with Pac which was ******. And he never recovered.

Honestly though, he doesnt beat Pac in a rematch, not a ***in chance.

right, because marquez wasn't getting smacked in the mouth and tripping all over the ring

you're gonna get caught, and you'r gonna get caught big, end of

and even tho you trolls dont like to admit it, those marquez fights were very close.

you get the wrong idea cuz marquez holds his head like an almost immovable object, even when he gets hurt or knocked down you dont see his head snapping, doesn't mean pacquiao was'nt obviously landing

Cotto is just not as good a fighter as Pacquiao is. Pac is faster, more accurate, throws more punches, has much better footwork. Pac even takes less punches then Cotto does in exchanges.

Cotto might be able to hold his own for the first few rounds, but Pac is better conditioned.

IMHO to beat Pac, Cotto needs a complete transformation as a boxer, and so far it hasn't happened, or be in the best condition of his whole career.

plus Cotto doesn't use his RIGHT hand enough to be able to compete with Manny....thats what I got from their fight...Manny's 2 fisted attack trumps Cotto's 1 fisted all day

cotto doenst have the stamina/durability to deal with pacquiao, end of.....maybe in his prime he wouldve survived a pacquiao onslought down the stretch and walked away with a decision fighting the perfect fight.....but pacquiao would still have the stylistic advantage.

cotto will never be able to keep himself from getting into exchanges with pac its just not his style.and i dont care if steward is in his corner or not i still see the same fighter as always which is a pretty damn good fighter but not quite good enough to beat pac.

This is boxing, If you dont want to exchange blows pick another sport. Pacquiao beats Cotto 10 out of 10 times easy.
