How badly did that bomb in R2 of Mayweather/Mosley affect Floyd's confidence?

It increased it, because he came forward and brought the fight to Mosley afterwords.

He realized he could take his best shot, and still execute the game plan.

The problem with that is that the only thing Floyd's good at is Boxing.

      ...and getting sued.

It has alot to do with his confidence. He knows he's slowing down and that 147 is not his best weight. This explains the inactivity, as a whole, at this weight. This also explains why he accused Pac of PEDs, because he finds it hard to believe that someone else could actually get better while going up in weight...especially someone smaller than he is. If he can't do it, than whoever does must be cheating.

He never came back to clean up *****. He saw that Pac was getting alot of credit for beating guys he already beat in a more impressive manner so he thought he could do the same. He wanted to outdo Pac without actually fighting him. Basically he was just out to sway public opinion in his favor. This is also another explanation for the PED accusations and the constant references to Pac's 3 losses and resume. He's desperate to be regarded as the best again...without actually having to prove it.
