don king was the best promoter for several decades

he brought us the best heavyweight fights for over 30 years.hes not the best anymore but he put together the best PPV events for decades.always top quality fights & he matched the best vs the best.in the 70's,80's, & 90's...so many people here crap on him & really have no idea what he brought to this sport.he made guys millions & his cards were unmatched for so many years.always title fights on every card with several solid heavyweight fights.including multiple title fights on same card.anyone remember tyson\holyfield undercard? botha\moorer for IBF title,akinwande\zolkin..3 good fights for $40...so many younger fans who DID NOT WATCH BOXING before the 2000s have no idea what he did for the sport & the fans....today the cards are garbage & nowhere near as good because of the economics....its a shame these newer fans are so unaware of his true impact on the sport....

the best promoter for the fans, the worst promoter for the fighters.

its sad, but thats just how it works out.

some of his 90s cards were unbelievably stacked. guys like Chavez, Trinidad, McClellan, Norris, Nunn, and Nelson would fight on the SAME CARD.

    thats four HOF fighters...

he made all his top fighters millions.too bad they were to ****** with their money.yes he ****ed over some guys but he always got his fighters big fights but the problem is you gotta win & keep winning...which many didnt but even if you lost he would get you big fights if you put people in the stands...ask golota...even after he quit he got 4 title fights because he sold out MSG every fight...many of his fighters just couldnt draw well so they got put on back burner...he has alot of fighters & only so many dates available.its their fault for signing long term with him...

He's not even as bad as people say. First off the people he murdered were trying to kill HIM first.

2nd its not his fault the fighters read a contract, sign it, throw away all their money and blame him. Tyson just needs to admit it was his problem for losing all that cash.
