All most Mexicans do is diss Juan Manuel Marquez and root against him when he fights other Mexicans, now all of a sudden you wanna claim him cause it benefits you? JMM is an ATG and a skillful boxer and he doesn't get appreciated enough by Mexican fans because he's not a face first dumbass.

Mexican, American, and I'm starting to see a lot of respect for Filipino boxers.

My take on the Mexican fighter has less to do with heart, and more to do with idiotic macho bullshyt. The same mentality that is found in their gang****ers throughout LA. "What will they say if I quit?" "I must prove to them that I am down..." If you really analyze it, it stems from weakness. A man too weak to protect his own life, risking his brain-function, so that his peers can clap and pat him on the back for being macho, is not a man with "heart," but a man lacking the individuality, to do what is truly in HIS best interest. I would sooner respect a smart fighter, who knew he would come back another day and not be brain damaged for applause, then a low IQ "warrior" who is too weak to make the right decision with regard to his own well being.

And personally, the Mexican face forward style, does nothing for me. I'd rather watch MMA as they often have better technique than these so called mexican "boxers." To see to 106lb rejects, punching each other in the face all night gets boring fast. Every round like the last... no defense and 500 punches to the mouth landed for both fighters. Get the FACK outta here with that amateur shyt..

Border Patrol sounds a little bitter that no one mentioned Puerto Ricans on this thread.

Canelo is garbage. Just like Chavez Jr. is garbage. Funny both are too pssy to fight one another and Chavez Jr. Pulled out of a Dec 4th bout with Cotto. So what the fack are you talking about?

Don't you EVER compare Benitez (SKILLS) to a slow hype job like Canelo.

                    Are you fkin nuts!?
