And why is it Vitali's problem that Solis has a glass head? And all these Vitali haters are acting as if this was a phantom punch. The punch clearly connected and it clearly had an affect on Solis and he clearly went down and he clearly could not continue. With that said my point is Solis clearly lost. And you all can point all the fingers you want but it clearly was not Vitali's fault.
You have to laugh at all this quibbling over nothing, really. Solis got his ass beat in one round, full stop.

Corrie Sanders, now there was a guy that landed some mean punches on Vitali, who still KO'd him.

Solis did very little, actually, and to pretend otherwise is truly desperate.

You can argue as to whether the punch or the knee was why he couldn't continue, but ultimately it doesn't matter. I saw Solis looking dazed and disoriented after the knockdown, and a knee injury, which I have had, doesn't do that to you.

        2. IF Solis was injured before the fight, then as Dan Rafael says, he and Oner are guilty of fraud, because they went ahead with the fight under a false pretext, knowing he couldn't compete, just to get the money, which was his career-high payday.

They should be penalized in some way if that is what happened. Oner is a crook and a scumbag, so it's highly likely.
To me, it seemed he lost his legs for a moment when the punch landed, tried to keep up on his feet on wobbly legs. His leg muscles were not under control which caused the knee to give up, in an odd position, under all that weight.

And yes, I believe there is truth behind some knee problems in his past, which they stated. I guess they thought it wouldn't be a problem. With that said, they didn't seem to be very professional...

Solis outboxed Vitali, Mr. I haven't lost a round in 3 years. That's damn good in fact. And the only punch that connected on Solis in the entire round happened to ''connect'' at the same time his knee went out.

          That's the truth. Full stop.

Vitali clearly hurt him with this punch, the leg that was not hurt was buckled. If vitali hurt him that early in the fight then he evidently didnt have a great chin because usually vitali hurts people with volumes of punches. It was only a matter of time before he would have ko'd him.

He didn't even deserve the shot in the first place.

And just who are you going to sell a rematch to?

The Germans ain't paying to see Solis again, and outside of a few desperate Klitschko haters, nobody else is interested in seeing SpongeBob again either.

I don't think KO'd is the right way to say it, stopped by the referee suits better. Sanders never even tasted the canvas in that fight.

Solis didn't deserve the shot ?

What about Sosnowski and Briggs ? Or Kevin Johnson ? With that much controversy surounding the fight, I believe many people would want to watch the rematch.

As for the Germans, they don't know *****t about boxing, they have already paid to watch Vitali against Sosnowski and Briggs. Vitali can sell them anything. The people who don't want to see the rematch are those like you who saw what happened, Solis outboxed Vitali for a full round, and may have beaten Vitali without the injury.

Solis injured himself, no big deal, he loses, but to say that he was knocked out by that feather-duster is very, very inappropirate, dishonest and unecessary on Klitschko's part.

Solis will never get a rematch.
Vitalis punch was so hard it made Solis knee pop.

Anyways the punch was right on the temple and Solis rolled into it. The punch looked abou as hard as the one Tyson scored 3 KD's with against Berbick.

Vitali landed more punches, including some good shots to SpongeBob's fat belly, and scored the knockdown. End of argument.

Vitali arguably still hasn't lost a round in three years, although I might have given one to Sosnowski, who did better than Solis and who showed up in tremendous shape.
