      1. vanes martirosyan is no random bum.

      2. pac-mosley went to cbs/showtime because cbs/showtime offered a better deal. had nothing to do with cotto except they used cotto's fight as like a dry run to help get ready for the pac-mosley ppv.

      3. if anything greenburg went on more of a hissy fit when he couldn't get pac-mosley.

        1. Cotto/Vanes is a terrible fight, I wouldn't buy that if I was HBO. They should have bought Cotto/Mayorga though. I don't know why Arum pushed for that, unless he wanted Cotto to be a stepping stone for his future fighters who'll replace him.

        2. Pac/Mosley was as vindictive as it gets. He's using CBS as the primer and the rationale. If Pac/Mosley bombs, where does Bob go from there?

        3. They both acted like *****es during that time period

Also, to make a point, I don't mind Arum shopping the fights around for more exposure for the fights, but he was cleared in a vengeful mood taking his fighters like Lopez, Cotto and Pacquaio to Showtime. I think its fair to wonder when these two companies will let bygones be bygones, because clearly Arum was upset about a Cotto fight not being picked up by HBO. He references past PPV sales, past WCB ratings and all that.

I also am wondering because I hope Cotto/Margarito II is on HBO instead of Showtime because the broadcast was horrific. It just sounded and looked so second rate

          1. vanes is a better opponent than mayorga at this stage. mayorga is nothing more than a tuneup nowadays. has been for years. vanes is a top 5-10 ranked fighter at 154 and undefeated.

          2. get this through to your head. cbs offered arum mainstream coverage on a tv network. something hbo with all its money (and they throwed tons of it arum's way to keep pac) couldn't match.

          3. i'll ask one more time. when did arum leave hbo? answer. he didn't. go use the search function and look up all the fights in discussion or agreed upon for top rank fighters to be on hbo. i think even chavez jr. got a hbo date for the future.

Arum is not a ****** so he never intended to move on from HBO, even if they pissed him off he is not going to cut off his nose to spite his face, at least not based on what happened anyways.

Now he had to move some of his guys to Showtime to prove he would do it which is beneficial to him, but he wasn't going to do that with all his guys unless he got forced and I don't think HBO wants that no matter how upset they are about Pacquiao.
