    Arum going back to HBO?

So, the Cotto/Mayorga fight sold decent, considering who the opponent was and the fact that Martinez was fighting on regular HBO, but what do you all think will make Arum go back to HBO? If Pac/Mosley flops, does Arum stop acting like a dumped girlfriend and goes back to HBO for perhaps Cotto/Margarito II?

I mean lets be real, 24/7>Fight Camp 360 plus all the added HBO production values. Does CBS push Cotto/Margarito II like they are Pac/Mosley? CBS is fortunate to push Pac/Mosley during March Madness, but Arum won't have that luxury in July.

    Thoughts?

          um

          Gamboa vs. Solis
          Garcia vs. Remillard

IS on HBO. That's this coming weekend.

and 24/7 is garbage it's all over produced and very very fabricated. There have been tons of footage where it was all choreographed and staged for the cameras

He did say that them not buying the Cotto vs Random bum he assigned that would affect all future dealings with HBO, then Pac/Mosley went to Showtime. All the other fights stated were already signed and delivered by HBO and Arum before he went on his hissy fit, but from what I know...he doesn't have all his second half stuff planned out already on the networks, so who knows where they'll land.

and he has openly admitted to several people within the press that he is not shutting out HBO. Quite the reverse.

That secondary show HBO is planning on HBO2? 75% of the slots are filled by GBP, Shaw and DiBella. When Arum asked why his Top Rank company was not offered the same luxury as those three HBO advised him that he can still compete for the other three slots.

people spin this way too hard to make Bob out to be some evil man. When HBO balked at putting on Cotto on a PPV instead of doing his own PPV and relaunching the Latin Fury series he went out and rekindled the talks he had with CBS/Showtime.

and that's another thing. People who think this is recent stuff are mistaken. Years ago Arum was discussing getting network TV back in the mix and laid out a plan on how to do it which runs very similar to what we see with Mosley Pacquiao.

Arum isn't done dealing with HBO he is just using more resources to get his fights done. No harm in that at all

HBO is getting too involved with who fighters fight. They made Martinez duck Zbik who was his mandatory and put him in the ring against a 154. They made that 154er fight against Martinez at 160 and knew that he would have NO CHANCE. They are desperatly trying to make martinez look like the next Pacquiao because Pacquiao is with Showtime and Mayweather is going to jail. They know if Martinez fights Pirog or any legit 160er and gets his ass beat than there hopes and dreams of milking Martinez will go down the toilet.

Thats why you always hear Martinez calling out fighters 1-2 weight classes down and HBO LOVES that and its a disgrace to the sport.
