How far can Rigondeaux go in boxing??

he will amass a pretty record against bums for a couple years, start to slow down, get upset by some unhearalded but solid guy, and retire with a bunch of meaningless title defenses pretending to be amazing.

I disagree.

I think Rigondeaux listened to the critics and is being more aggressive. His fight on Saturday was the most aggressive he's been as a pro. I think he will take on much bigger challenges and if he fights with that mentality, he will be very, very hard to beat by anyone, even Donaire.

He's crazy crazy talented, all he needs to do is be more aggressive. Always said he had a sick body attack, hopefully we don't ever see a repeat of how he performed against Cordoba, he's so much better than that!

I wanna see him against Steve Molitor. Both TR fighters. I think Molitor though the lighter puncher is the better of the two southpaws. Has too much expeirance for this guy. Would be a real entertaining fight though.

peope keep saying that all he has to do is 'be more aggressive', but boxing doesnt work like that. being more aggressive leaves you open to get hit, and forcing it messes up your own style and skills.

I could be wrong, I just dont see him doing much in boxing before he gets too old.

Right now, his career can look like Casamayor or Guzman given his age, skill level, and activity. He may benefit from Donaires departure @ Top Rank. Time will tell...

that's a risk he should be willing to take though, and imo hopefully he realizes that. I mean at the pro level, it's also about being entertaining and selling fights.

I think with his talent and his natural athleticism, he can can afford to leave himself more open.

I mean look at the Cordoba fight, he had him down and hurt but didn't try to finish him off and as a result allowed him to stay in the fight and made it closer than it had to be and he eventually got dropped himself fighting that ultra cautious style. and of course pretty dreadful to watch.
