You get sick of " hearing this 140 **** " because you are an idiot kid.
The thing is Pacquiao has all the leverage just like Mayweather.

JMM better hurry and get a fight in at 140 before Jun/July. It's already a bad idea trying to fight pac now, but it would be even worse to come in with his last fight being at 135. If I were him I'd at least try to get my feet wet at 140 before the pac fight.

Firstly, catch-weights are ****..... secondly, Cotto said "147, if you want my title", but they rail-roaded him into accepting the conditions. Like you pointed out "Pacquiao has all the leverage".
I am also " one of those guys who said ".....
" WHOAH !!
Hold on..... WTF Pac?
You are fighting a faded mediocre welterweight bum for a vacant title at JMW? ..... AND you want a catch-weight? ..... *** me, whats wrong with you man, thats getting the world handed to you on a silver platter, aint it?"
But, there ya go
Marquez is a lightweight..... and Pac is a natural junior welter who can easily make 140 according to both Alex Ariza and Freddie Roach.
And, I thought the 5 other reasons I gave were pretty good as well.....
1.) Because Marquez is a lightweight, and largely ineffective above 135
2.) Because it would be better for boxing
3.) Because it would be a fairer fight
4.) Because it would better for Manny's legacy
5.) Because Manny would still be the red-hot favorite
------------------------------------
Let's face it man, they just "want every conceivable advantage against their aging but still-dangerous nemesis"..... just like it says here.....

4.) That fight has GOT to happen at 140, or Pac is a b1tch, because.....
FACT: Manny can easily make 140
FACT: That would be a much fairer fight
FACT: Manny would still be a red-hot favorite
So yep, I'm ok with that fight at 140.....
* Everybody knows that the outcome of that fight does NOT determine once-and-for-all who is "the best", as Marquez will just be a 38yo career-featherweight.
Much the same as a fight now netween Marquez/Morlaes would not determine once-and-for-all who is the best.
Wow, where do I start.
Just a few months ago you said that Manny is a coward for not wanting to fight Marquez but now you are making excuses that Marquez is turning 38 and that this will not determine who is the best? Make up your mind. When I said months ago, Marquez is getting old and Marquez has done nothing to prove that he can fight at 140+, you just continued with your cowardice stance of Manny.
You said, "That fight has GOT to happen at 140, or Pac is a b1tch".
It's funny that you have been complaining about Cotto coming down a whole 1lb but now you are OK with Manny coming down to 140 because "he can"???? So could Cotto come down that 1lb but you lit every thread with your points calling Manny all kinds of names ..... that is hypocritical at its best.
You said, "that would be fair".
Again, Cotto coming down that 1lb, in the eyes of team Pacquiao made the "weight/size" difference between them fair considering that Manny being at WW was still questionable and that his last fight was at 140..... but you again lit up these boards like Manny committed a crime.
Marquez has had plenty of opportunity now to have come up to 140+ but he hasn't yet. That is NOT Manny's problem nor fault. Marquez is to blame for that.
NOTE: My comments are not about me wanting Marquez to fight at 147 or nothing because I told you many times that THIS Marquez gets smoked by THIS Manny at 140+. Marquez has done NOTHING to change that in the last year. I'm still laughing at you now opening up your eyes and saying, poor Marquez is turning 38, its not the same,..... I HAD BEEN SAYING THAT FOR MANY MONTHS NOW BUT YOU COULDN'T GET YOURSELF TO AGREE WITH ME ..... you are finally seeing the light, nice to see!!!Last edited by ADP02; 03-20-2011, 10:12 PM.
