Why can't Marquez come in at 145. He did it against Diaz and Katsidis.....why not Pacquiao?
Also, didn't you claim Marquez had Manny's number?
The first fight there was only a 1lb difference, the second fight a 2-3lb difference.......so if there is a 2-3lb in the third fight, shouldn't the outcome be the same, especially since Marquez has Manny figured out (as well as beating him twice like some people claim).
please answer this without ducking my reply. Leaduppercut your more than welcome to give your opinion as well.
I have already given my " opinion ".
I do not mention fight-night weight, or any other irrelevant topic, when discussing boxing with grown-ups.....
The amount of muscle-mass and conditioning that you take into a fight is solely determined at the weigh-in. Rehydration weight has no bearing at all, and can even be detrimental.
It is plainly obvious that Team Pacquiao are just trying to manipulate every advantage over the 37yo midget, exactly like Doug Fischer pointed out here.....
"However, this fight only makes sense to me if it takes place at junior welterweight (and I would hope Marquez would weigh-in under 140 pounds). Why Pacquiao and company refuse to even consider fighting Marquez at 140 pounds (instead of the 144 or 147 they stipulate) is a very good question. The answer is obvious: they want every conceivable advantage against their aging but still-dangerous nemesis"..... http://ringtv.craveonline.com/blog/1...friday-mailbag
I mean that's your boy, and why is it that now that he is about to get the fight, you making excuses?
I think someone is shook because they know what's about to happen....
Do you really think that fighting a 37yo career-featherweight at 147lbs rates as a "challenge"
You Pac-fan's are a joke.
It is a joke that Manny will not fight the 37yo midget Marquez unless he jumps TWO DIVISIONS to welter..... higher than where Manny won his welterweight title..... and yet Manny would not dare fight a genuine JMW, even though he holds a title at 154
You got floor-level standards there big fella.
It is plainly obvious that Marquez has very little chance of being competitive in that fight, Pacquiao has seen to that. 140 would be much fairer, although still likely too much for Marquez, and Manny can easily make 140 according to Roach/Ariza.
You are one of the " fan's " mentioned earlier.....
the only one whining is you, you sorry sack of ****...that's all you've done for the last 10 pages...why dont you call a relative and ask for a hug...tell them the mean people at the boxing forums were calling you a b1tch AGAIN
Manny IS ducking JMM, and has done since 130, just like he ducked Cotto at 147, and Margo at 154. He is a b1tch who will not fight unless he has a distinct advantage. He clearly does not want to fight JMM unless he removes ALL disadvantages. 147 indeed
Correct, at 126-130, a prime'ish JMM has Manny's number, there is no doubt about that kid. That's why they waited until now, and that's why they are demanding 147.
