The suspected injury suffered by Solis is exactly the same as what happened to Klitschko in training just before the Rahman fight, causing him to retire for 4 years. It is often a career ending injury.
What's the part you disagree about as i have no problems with what you're stating.. i've said plenty of times that whomever thinks Solis won that rd should bring along compubox statistics & prove it..i've yet to receive an answer to that... i will give him credit for hanging in there with Vitali & being able to get close to him while moving well.. it was a close rd until Solis didn't brace himself accurately for incoming fire once he was lunging at Vitali & missing badly.

Btw..is the title of this thread a typo... shouldn't Klitschko's name be up there instead?

Rounds are scored purely on punches landed?

solis landed the more meaningful punches, he landed 3 great hands and a couple of super left hooks

all klit did was prod a very very weak jab

solis defence was better until his knee went as he avoided all big shots

his punches also counted more as he landed more meaningful ones

It was no fight and no rounds were completed. But yes Solis has a loss and Klitschko has the win. You really can't blame the fighters either. Just the way it turned out.

I'm a "klit fan" and I've never claimed that he didn't lose to Byrd or Lewis. The extreme Klitschko lovers are a minority, normal fans shouldn't be generalized into the same category as them.

No, Solis has one loss, just as Vitali has two.

Solis booked the first round IMO, but he still lost
