The one thing I didn't understand why Donaire did as such. Konting panahon nalang yun kung tutuusin.

OO nga naman...But I believe there's one common denominator that is a common mess, Nonito's wife...It happens even within the Donaire family I'm sure Nonito's parents will second the motion with me...Whatever Rachel thinks and acts is good for her, Nonito will only follow even his closest family (his Parents) will be affected and suffered...That's called "under de saya" in Filipino...Jealousy and selfishness kills...

I wish good luck to Nonito and hope he will stand and fight like a man not only inside the ring but also outside the ring...

Tama ka! i was gonna say this in response to TamisSiensa. I really feel that Rachel has influenced Nonito big time with this decision. Although I respect Nonito for 'stepping up' and moving to GBP, you can't deny that not waiting for his contract to legally end is ****** ****** ******!

Out of curiosity why do people think asking to be on someone's undercard is a sign of jealousy? If anything it is a sign of humility.

If I was jealous of someone I wouldn't ask to feature on their set up, I'd be complaining about them getting more favourable dates or money pumped into their promotion.

Now those are signs of jealousy!

It's called being down for your spouse. If she would have bad mouth Pac then it's something else but she is just stating it how it is. thats pure jealousy. no division under welterweight will command a good money unless u fight in a higher division like Manny has been doing now. Donaire will never see the money that Pac has seen fighting in lower weight class unless he would fight mexican legends. you cannot bring Pac to a conversation and saying you are not jealous. Donaire will not fight in a PPV by himself in a lower class. he'd be lucky to make $1 million a fight in the future.

How? She already said that their two different fighters. Not like she said " Nonito is better than Pac". She didn't even say Pac was hating on Nonito. When Bob was Pacquiao's promoter, he was Donaire's demoter. That happens when you bite much more than you can chew. Donaire is better off where he is now.

Arum just had Nonito on ice until Pacquiao was out the picture because both fighters are in the same market. Would have cost him more to promote Donaire because he already has Manny. Donaire did what he had to do to get his own stock up. All he has to do is not fight till his contract is up. Sure a lawyer wouldn't be dumb enough to put Nonito in a bad spot. Definitely sure by reading his wife interview that she wouldn't do that to him. Everything will be revealed but I think it is more of a Oscar/Floyd ordeal with Arum more than a Pac/Golden Boy one.

^Therein lies the problem, Nonito (:cough: Rachel) doesn't know his real market value. This guy (:Cough: Rachel) wants to be paid $1 mil per fight... as a bantamweight. What bantams do you know who are getting 1/4 of that right now? Hell, even Moreno is on that overpricing bandwagon asking for 1/2 mil himself which anyone with half a brain can tell is absolutely ridiculous.

And it's not like Nonito is filling arenas and stadiums, pulling in 300K buys, etc for him to justify that asking price. If he goes on the Pac plan and rises in weight and takes on Vazquez then big money fights with Gamboa and/or Juanma then yes, $1 mil+ would make perfect sense.

But fighting Moreno, Chris John, Mares, etc and getting paid $1 mil to do it is a horrible business proposition for any promoter.

I blame Haymon/HBO and their Berto overpricing bull****. Guy is being paid handsomely to fight busboys as the 2nd to last lead-in fight to main events on free HBO cards. Guys see that and think 'Why should I take 1/2 mil to fight champions/contenders when I could get double to fight my mailman?'. HBO ****ed up and now it's have negative reverberations throughout the sport.
