What's all this nonsense about Jacobs outboxing Pirog before the KO? He was looking extremely uncomfortable by the second round, getting strafed by right hands, and generally having an awful time of it with Pirog's awkward style. The KO shot didn't come out of the blue, it was the result of skill and pressure, and Pirog had landed several similar shots earlier in the fight, one of which nearly knocked Jacobs down. I'd wager Jacobs would do better in a rematch, but not that much better and I'd expect him to lose in similarly lopsided fashion (albeit without the KO).

BTW, Pirog does not fight like Mayweather. When did you ever see Mayweather cross his legs over like that? Pirog's style is like a bastard mix of Froch, Sweetpea and Vic Darchinyan.

People really have high regards for a fighter that hasn't ever fought a top fighter. Pirog really isn't that good. Jacobs will get better and have a much better career than a guy that won't face a top opponent till he's 37 and then he will be laying on a stretcher.

That makes you sound just a tad bitter, old chap.

Good post though. He does NOT fight like Mayweather.

And Jacob's wasn't outboxing anyone either.

Pirog is #1 overrated fighter on the internet forums. Meaningless fight, both should go on.
