Damn it. Now THAT will hinder JK from coming back. You can say alot about Ann Wolfe but she DEFINITELY had her fighters ready to go to war, especially Kirkland.

Kirk def needs to work on conditioning. He got the W, but was hit a bit too much and looked kinda sloppy. Hopefully he can stay active and work himself back into shape by feasing on lower level fighters

u guys forget he just got outta prison, hes a work in progress. we are getting to see his work on live tv, and its gonna be sloppy n ruff at times but this is wat u get when uve been out the ring so long. he has issues, but he has time to work on these issues.

Kirkland does not look the same,he looks fat and his aggression is not as high,maybe he needs a few more fights or something...I have to say he better stay far away from Martinez imo that will be the end of his career he will never recover from the beating he would receive in that fight..But a fight with him and Angulo(I think I would go with Angulo)would be good tho...

I wonder what Max Kellerman is saying about Sergio fighting James after watching this fight? After Martinez last fight, Kellerman was saying that was T-H-E fight to be made. Max is pretty critical...
BTW, did you check out the look on Kirklands face at the end bell of round 1? Kinda made me laugh - it was like "damn son, you makin me work". LOL

I could definately see him going back to her and repairing the relationship if he does by some chance end up doing a Mike Tyson post prison... If nothing else, she damn sure brought out the killer in him. I don't see it in him right now.

what do you mean? he was clearly trying to KO him as quickly as possible. Didn't you see his last fight two weeks ago? after he got the KO he unleashed some beastly explosion of anger that the guy got KO'd, he wanted to fight more.

The intensity is still there. Plus, his new trainer Adams is a former drill Sergeant so he doesn't mess around either. Adams is a great trainer, he will work on the technical things kirkland needs works on, and with all due respect to Wolfe I don't think she could do that for james.

he looks sloppy and soft(probably cuz of all the jailtime) but He's still exciting as hell to watch

I didn't see the fight TBH, only a 5 second clip of him exploding at the guy.

Don't get me wrong Nat, I definately want the kid to do great things. I actually thought he was trying to take his time and get some rounds in. He def seemed out of condition for sure, which is understandable for obvious reasons. Maybe him fighting so quickly after his last fight had him tired. But IMO, he seemed different. I just didn't see that passion and ferousity (in this fight) that made him so exciting before. But I totally get it, the guy just got out of prison and is going through a ****load of changes (moved to different State too, right?).

I hope Adams can bring out the very best in James, I really do. Hopefully they're not moving him too quickly though, he's got a lot of physical and mental things to work out.
