Ok, 'John L Sullivan', I'll mark your words.

Personally I think people are looking into both mans last fight too much. The anderson night wasn't great for Groves but he is an under-rated fighter and if you believe Groves he was trying new things out defensively - the most important thing is groves was able to show the grit, determination and heart to come through a tough battle. On the other hand I feel people are seriously over-estimating Degale's win against a blown up Smith. Whilst Degale looked good throughout the night, Smith was so slow it was painful.

I think this fight will be a lot closer than people expect - remember vernon forrest and sugar shane? Now i'm not saying these two are in the same class but sometimes fighters have eachother's numbers...

Anyways to conclude my heart says Groves by 6th round stoppage but my head says unanimous points for Degale

But DeGale likes to stay on the outside and evade punches, I can't see him brawling and getting messy on the inside so I don't see Groves getting '******ed' as you put it.

DeGale is an excellent inside fighter. Its not about "brawling" or "getting messy". Some of most skilled boxing takes place on the inside. Watch Mayweather or James Toney.

So you're comparing James DeGale to Floyd Mayweather & James Toney's inside abilities?

No, not yet obviously. His style is clearly influenced by them though. Groves on the other hand cant fight on the inside. He'll be the one trying to keep this at range.

I agree, and I think his looping shots will connect, I reckon DeGale will be the one made to miss. We'll see.

boxing isn't just about fighting theres all different styles like froch, hatton etc have a fighter's style whereas mayweather, wlad etc like to box.. pretty obvious really.

Floyd can fight as well though when he wants to even though a lot of people think he can't.
