And my bad on the Cotto/Mosley numbers, didn't realize they were that high.Comment

if it did 200k i would call it about average, maybe a slight disappointment. considering that mayorga was about to fight MMA a year ago, and was coming off one tune up - and without a signature win in almost a decade, not too bad. mayorga, i thought as well did a good job with his usual pre-fight antics. just wasn't the interest in this fight, that, coupled with the fact HBO was showcasing one of the fastest rising stars in the game for free.Comment

The last people I'd go to for the numbers is Top Rank. However, I can see this fight topping out at 200k. Showtime did one hell of a job promoting it. I'm pretty sure they'll have better luck with Pacquiao-Mosley but I'm beginning to smell bad news in the air for Bob Arum. Should be interesting.

threads like this is a welcome development in boxing really. its indicative of how the sports of boxing has progressed. every bout of well known fighter is viewed like the nyse, at the end of the fight everyones waiting if the stocks are down or up. its like everyones turned like an investor or prospector. dang, boxing is at the forefront again, when will baseball/soccer/basketball/nhl/nfl follow suit. boxing is showing them the way yeahh. their fans should also start monitoring their teams sales.Comment
