Dan Rafael: "Cotto-Mayorga 200K PPV buys, could reach 250K"

Top Rank tells me Cotto-Mayorga PPV did "very well" -- 200k plus and "working its way towards 250k. We hit our projections plus more."

oscar says 100k. Top rank says 200-250k.

    Probably 175ish.

Either way, I expected more. Not a good sign. I thought Mayorga promoted the fight well and I thought lots of people were interested. Maybe more people were interested in streaming this one, like I did. Also didn't help free HBO fight (curious about the ratings for that) at the same time.

Who cares what Oscar has to say about this? How is Oscar relevant in this issue?

Anyways 250k is a good number considering nobody really cared about this fight.

Cotto would have earned some good money here because didn't Mayorga get like 50K or something? If TR is saying 250K it is probably going to be 230K

Much better than the reports saying that it did less than 100k.

And 200k is pretty damn good if your name isn't Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather Jr IMO.

I thought it would do abut 300-400k, but its not much lower than I thought. Its still a very solid payday for Cotto, he probably made 3-5 million for a tune-up, not bad at all.
