And while I think Cotto's image did take a hit from the beating of Manny, its actually the same drop off Manny had vs Clottey. He went from 1.25 with Cotto to only 700k with Clottey... damn Manny lost almost 600k with that downgrade. Mayorga has never been a big draw anyway, I wouldn't call it a let down or a great success either. It was like the fight, decent.
It was free in Mexico, his biggest fan base idiot.

Apart from Pac, Margarito has been Cotto's biggest payday. Same thing with Margarito.

Now i really do believe this fight did 100K or less, If Top Rank says it's 200K rising up then I know it's less than half of that.

Jealous of what? If he can play the system, mad power to him but he isn't what his extreme nuthuggers make him out to be.

Well I remember the Margarito fight doing around 450k and Pacquiao 1.25 mill.

            edit: Mosley was 400k.

You have some kind of obsession with Cotto it seems.

You are one of his extreme nuthuggers.

He has the most PPV buy outside of Pac and May against a shot fighter

All we've ever stated was Cotto is the third biggest draw in boxing (at least US) where exactly are we making up? Cotto has been on PPV for a while, and he is always around 250k, he did it with Mosley, a little less with Judah, 500k with Marg and 1.25 million with Manny, then another 250k with Mayorga. Considering Mayorga hasn't fought in nearly two years, in which he came off a KO loss to Mosley... Mayorga has been irrelevant for years and even Tito could only hit 450k buys with Mayorga and that was in his prime 5 years ago. Oscar somehow got 850k, but Oscar is just a draw period. Again, its nothing special but its a decent number given the opponent and how Cotto looked coming off of his last fight.

If that was the case Mosley is a bigger draw than Cotto if you count his PPV numbers overall . Ok, that's more understandable, 3rd in the U.S.. Overall in boxing, not even.

I have no obsession with no one. Specially a damn boxer. Nice try though but you fail. I explained myself why I made my comments.

I expected 300K-350K but 250K is very good considering all the the stuff that was on TV that day. The fight competed with NCAA and the Martinez fight and the fight was not seen as competitive by people. Less than I expected but very good.
