He's a very very very good boxer.

Calzaghe has yet to beat a fighter as skilled as Tarver, down at 168....but, he's gonna go UP to 175 & outbox/defeat Tarver ?
That's some serious homerism there, martin.

Eubank was more skilled than Tarver in his prime ( i dont think ive seen any more skilled than Banks in his prime ) although i suppose Banks speed & skills had decreased by the time he fought calzaghe

if Byron Mitchell can floor calzaghe then Tarver can ****in kill him, if Charles Brewer can cause calzaghe so much trouble then Tarver can cause calzaghe hell

Woodhall, Eubank and Reid were all well skilled boxers as you probably know Jabs.

Tarver may have a slight reach advantage but JC's quicker so I'd go for Calzaghe UD. Tarver's hardly got a resume to die for either.

Pitty Tarver isnt as confident about beating Calzaghe as you guys, if that were the case maybe he wouldnt have ducked him and the fight would have happened already.

Back then its definitely a win for Calzaghe, now i'm not 100%.

                He has a 175lb resume....& one that's been UPDATED.
Calzaghe hasn't had one fight at 175, & hasn't beaten a quality guy for years.

                  Give me a break....no 175lber would duck Calzaghe !

You know better than this Evil.....
I guess Calzaghe's lack of quality opposition has never been his fault ? I certainly don't see Calzaghe as a fighter striking fear in anyone.
In fact...what happened with his proposed match with Glenn Johnson ?

I don't think weight or power would be an issue for Calzaghe as he's been struggling for years to make 168.

Can't argue on the recent opposition but struggling against the Glen Johnson's of this world isn't exactly impressive.

Glenn Johnson is superior to anyone Calzaghe has faced this millenium.
