I don't really like Tarver all that much, but I would say cueball wins it by a mid-round KO over the 'great white dope' Calzaghe.
Joe Calzaghe vs Antonio Tarver

I'd have to go with Calzaghe on points. Calzaghe would drag Tarver into a war and I would imagine the scores would read something like 117-112
I know a lot of you are pissed off with Joe at the moment because the fight with Lacy has been put back, but Calzaghe is a quality fighter... If he was as bad as some of you are saying, then why would Jeff Lacy bother fighting him?Comment

The guys in my avatar could all beat the **** out of Joe Calzaghe. Tarver would keep Calzaghe on the outside and beat him easily.Comment

Tarver would KO Calphony. Any wild swinging fighter going against AT would get peppered & countered by him. Calphony definitely isn't stronger & if he eats some of the left hands that Johnson ate in both fights, he's going down hard. AT has a reach advanatge & would keep him on the end of his jab like he did to Johnson.Comment

for anyone picking joe they have to realise that tarver has a good reach advatange and is naturally bigger than joe. tarver walks around 195+ and loves to counter punch...and take it from a counter puncher, we love guys that swing for the fences.Comment

He's not the kind of fighter that get's picked off by counter punchers all night long.
He's a very very very good boxer.Comment
