I like Miguel. I've never quite understood all the hate towards him. If Puerto Ricans on the island don't like him because they expect a " 'Tito' personality," that's unfortunate. Cotto has his own persona, and he shouldn't be expected to act like something he's not. As for people outside the Puerto Rican community: Successful people will always have their share of detractors. It comes with the territory. Once your success diminishes, the hate drops accordingly....Comment

Cotto's statement reminds me of the old saying "still waters run deep." The man fits my personal definition of "warrior" perfectly.Comment

cotto is **** on about what he is saying, half the fan boys are too obsessed with him or call him ****** shit like miguel "kneegul" cotto yet in reality them lot have probably never been in a real fight or even in a boxing ring in their entire life instead we get all these ******ed fan boys, some critics are mature enough to speak sense or atleast have something normal to say unlike some of the so called boxing "fans" on here....Comment

I'm glad Cotto addressed his haters with a little ana on his chest. But be honest, If Floyd spoke those exact same words you would be callin him an arrogant prick thats picking on boxing fans. The sooner we realize there's a double standard with Mayweather and other fighters the hate will cease.Comment

the only reason PR's are not very fond of Cotto is because he is arrogant. I know people that know him personally, and they all say the same thing. We don't expect him to smile or to be like Tito, pero co~o show a little humility. Don't forget that you came from the little Island I call home. That's why tito is idolized, he represented wherever he went. and to this day, tito is the same. Once cotto leaves that comemierderia he will be embrased by his peeps.Comment
