People laugh when I say Byrd dominated that fight but the punch stats dont lie...

370 MISSED punches? Thats cartoonishly bad accuracy.
Stop being silly, Byrd won at most 2 rounds.

You apparently saw a completely different fight than the one that took place and the one that myself, almost everyone else here and most importantly, the judges saw.

I agree, I'M glad he is taking it seriously. The heavyweight championship is no small achievement. Vitali will dominate either way but now he may get some credit.

I have watched the fight years ago the first time, and I have watched it twice since then

Byrd was losing the fight, and he admitted that himself

what I try to expose is that

          - though he was losing, Byrd was not dominated, he landed almost as many punches and was competitive for a guy coming into the fight with 1 week notice
          - Byrd has a much better connect percentage, both in the jab and power punch category
          - Byrd made Vitali miss a whole lot, and that's pretty good considering Vitali usually has a very high connect percentage

I might add that Byrd was walking 6'8 Vitali down at some point, and NOT ONLY IN THE LAST ROUND

I get a bit annoyed when I hear these guys say Byrd was just lucky, when in fact, he fought a good fight and has a much bigger heart than Vitali who volontarily quit

          Byrd never ever quit

Wow since Solis actually looks to be in decent shape I probably will watch the fight.

He's 10 pounds off the mark, but you can't safely lose too much without it hurting you as opposed to helping. This is why it's important to always be in shape.

Still, he's over ten pounds lighter than in his pro debut! Solis really put his head down and got in the best shape he could, i'll be expecting a great fight tomorrow night.

Sorry Solis is still over weight 246 look at his belly its flabby as hell, even if he is lighter that his lasts fights.

The man should be about 230. I see Solis being hit at will for twelve, he is in for a bad night tomorrow.

Solis isn't as tough as Briggs. He's going down hard. Wait until VK starts hammering that fat belly on Solis. He won't last long.
How do we know that Solis isn't as tough as Briggs? I've seen Briggs knocked the **** out way before he fought Vitali, but I don't believe Solis has been down or stopped as an amateur or pro. I just hope, win or lose, that yall show Solis a little respect after you see the effort he gives.

Solis doesn't look that great but he's obviously taken the fight seriously enough if he's come in at the lowest weight of his pro career. It's probably the best of a bad situation, as Solis was too large to lose much more weight in a short space of time. Ideally, he would have taken his pro career seriously from the beginning and looked like a champion instead of what he looks like now.

He might still do OK. He is naturally gifted and still young, so we'll see. Coming in at 230lbs and ripped might not have made things any better, as it would have probably reduced his stamina. I remember David Tua looking the best he ever looked before he faced Chris Byrd, then during the fight he looked exhausted.

Anyone who thinks his uninspired wins in the pros is any indication of what's to come tomorrow is in for a surprise. The sentiment after tomorrow is going to be "Damn!!! I never saw that coming". You heard it hear.. not only is Solis going to win but he is going to embarass Vitali.

Solis at 250 has footspeed, handspeed and one punch knockout power: http://boxinguncut.blogspot.com/2011...d-and-one.html
