Martinez is a good fighter in his own right.. but I am surprised by many of the posts on here. It takes skill to get to the top and beat other skilled fighters. Name the HOF'ers/ATG's Martinez has beaten.. now do the same with Pacquiao.

PW on Pacquiao - "Man, I'd love to get in there with Pacquiao. He throws a lot of punches and I throw a lot of punches. It would be an exciting fight...They say he's the best because he beat Cotto and he has the belt: he's really hot, but I'd like to get in there and prove myself with him and see how my skills match up to his skills. They say I'm too big for him, but he's a warrior. He fought ODH, and Oscar's bigger than him. I don't think size matters: it's how big your heart is,"

He went on to say "I may want to come back and get my belt from him," "Everybody says he's the best welterweight out there right now. In my mind, if I settle in on welterweight, he wouldn't be the best. So for right now, he is the best because I'm not at that weight. I'm not knocking him, but he's never proved himself to me. He's never fought me."

But what has pac done for us fans lately? Martinez is putting on the good fights now. Pac isn't, that's why I'm fed up with Mayweather now. The top 2 don't care about what the fans want.

Wow so it only takes 2 good fights to become the best? Seems you have forgotten the quatlity of opponents guys like Pac has fought over the years.

Damn you guys have a short attention span, seems you forgot he's 3-1-1 in his last 5 fights. Even though he probably shoulda gotten the win, Martinez had a pretty damn close fight with Kermit "the Frog" Cintron FFS!

Manny is one of the most skilled fighters in boxing. The only thing Martinez really has on him is size.
