Martinez has more skill just by the way he boxes.

Pacman uses his tools to overwhelm his opponents.

What tools would that be? Skills maybe?

Actually read the damn question. Who is the more "skilled"
Not who fought the better opposition. Good god. By some of the logic on this forum, I guess "margarito" is one of the most "skilled" fighters ever.

Stylistically sergio outskill spacman and it isn't even close. Other GREATS who weren't that SKILLED include George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Henry Armstrong, etc.

Sergio shows his ability to counter, movement, ability to slip punches, fight in the inside, outside, and whilst moving.

Pacmans defense is NOT better than sergios (or more skillful). pacman unrelenting offense is his defense the majority of the time.. or just putting his gloves up.

His foot work is decent, moving in and out, but it isn't " ring generalship" like sergio uses his foot work.

Punch selection seems about even, although Sergio is more a precision punches off the start where as pacman is a combination puncher. The "skill" in their punching is subjective. I think sergios counter mind set shows sharp reflexes and timing which is more of a skill than pacquires combinations punching. Pacman is the result of hard work, big balls, and great conditioning.

The list goes on.. actually look at how they fight. Sergio is a more skillfull fighter than pacman. As is donaire.

When pacman drops his hands and slips punches, then talk to me.
do you actually believe sergio could beat marquez and barrera and morales? believe it or not idiot, it takes skills not rushing in blindly outworking your opponents, you think pacquiao is just some bum with a high output, that's why you're an idiot

anyone that says martinez is a ****in idiot, it's always the same thing when someone ko's someone who was never ko'd before, they gotta get blown outta proportion, same thing with abraham, some beast who would win the supersix, cuz even tho he barely threw, he had the awesome accuracy to land and boy when he landed...blah blah

U shouldn't call anyone an idiot posting things like that.Marquez,Morales & Barrera were all at 130 or under. But yes,Martinez is just as skilled pfp as all 3 or more.

has he ever thrown an uppercut in his life?

The Punisher is all action spanning 3 weight classes, will fight anyone & deserves every last 1 of his 5 fans.Besides compare compu-box #'s & U will see that those 3 great fighters U named probably got hit a lot more than Martinez.I'm taking nothing away from their greatness but U cannot compare featherweights to jr middleweights without a weight stipulation.

pac has more skills. pac can fight defensively if he wants, but he goes to war by choice way too much.

martinez is a defensive boxer by nature and style, but he gets hit a lot for a "slick" fighter.

I hate it when people call sluggers/swarmers unskilled. Sure they're unorthodox and not text-book boxers but your talking about guys that took their style to the pinnacle of the sport. Effectiveness of one's style is skill.

Its like saying an Indy car racer is more skilled than a rally/drift racer...end of the day skill is determined by who wins the race, not who followed the book.
