that would be wonderful for the hardcore boxing fans but I don't think the main stream know who Sergio Martinez is.. He is very marketable though because of his looks so I don't think it is beyond the realm of possibility that it sells over 2milppv. Just on name recognition alone it is unlikely. They have to do a really/ really/ reaaaaly good marketing job and sell sergio to the public for it to be possible.Comment

If this fight were to be announced you know what the common folk would say?
"Pacquiao's next fight coming up"
"oh yeah against who?"
"Some guy named Martinez, he's supposed to be good"
"Cool, never heard of him. Pacquiao gonna beat his ass"Comment

Nothing foreseeable will beat Mayweather-Oscar. That's just a crazy number that even Pacquiao-Mayweather wouldn't beat IMO.
But people are underestimating how easy to sell Pacquiao-Martinez would be. The most exciting and popular fighter in the sport, with a proven track record of million buy PPVs, up against a good looking latino fighter who is exciting to watch as well, would be the biggest challenge of Pacquiao's career, and is the middleweight champion? It could approach 2 million, even if it doesn't reach it.Comment

Martinez couldn't even put 5,000 people for his last fight and you think its going to outsell DLH/Floyd? Sergio hasn't even had a PPV fight, and his best draw was his last one at like 4500 people, get a grip man.Comment
