Rhodes has been long deserving of a title shot, he should of got it before margarito, mayorga alvarez and hatton. He is like hatton in that they both hail from britian, other than that they are as similar as floyd and manny.

I'll believe this when I see it. Rhodes is actually a good 154lber. Definately would be a first for Canelo and he will finally have earned some respect by taking this fight. Rhodes deserves this shot. He should've been the one fighting off for the title in the first place.

Rhodes is a legit cat but will get robbed blind in Mexico.
Ryan has skills. The people who say that he is in over his head have probably never seen him.
After seeing them both, Rhodes appears to have superior gifts at this stage of his pro career.
Canelo is strong but very young. His experience is limited when it comes to throwing leather with well schooled pugs in their prime.
This could be good if made.

I agree! I would be surprised if Canelo takes this fight. This is no gimme, that's for sure. Rhodes has a great chin and can punch. I hope it happens, this would actually be a legitimate title fight (this is the fight that should have been for the vacant belt)...
