ok, why are we still bringing up the first fight?
Wasn't it enough that justice was served with a tremendous KO on the second fight? lol.

I know you're just proving a point, but that corruption in judging is what made the rematch even more dramatic with that KO don't you think? I'm pretty sure that bad scoring somehow motivated Sergio for that KO kill.

Seriously, who cares? I'm sure one of the judges had a make up call later in the fight, such as Sergio getting the last round on the first judge card... thats the wrong call. Dood was totally gassed and falling over himself but judges do that when they know they may have messed up. That being said the last judge was the dirty judge, to me its the dumbest way to rate a fight "the guy coming forward must be the one winning" hate that with a passion.

If you dont care, why you posting? The point is there Sergio scored a hard knockdown in the 1st. I remember scoring 12th for Sergio anyway so thats a poor comparison. Being "gassed" doesnt mean you lose the round. He was still landing.

I scored it a draw and it could have gone either way, simple.

Not really the point. The point is that all 3 judges were biased for Williams.

Whats sad is that you care so much about a fight that happened like two years ago, then in the rematch the guy who got "hosed" put Williams in a coma. Who cares what the judges said/did Sergio proved his the better fighter and that Williams was a KO waiting to happen as many of us have been saying for years.

Theres a favourite in most fights, this has been going on in boxing for ages, its not uncommon, take a look at the scorecards in a Glen Johnson fight.

Williams did more in round one, and they both scored knockdowns. When both fighters score knockdowns, the knockdowns cancel eachother out, and u go by what else happened in the round. Williams did more in the round, so it's not insane that the judges gave him that round.

Like all judging, its all a matter of opinion. If, in ur opinion, Martinez superior knockdown earned him the round, that's ur opinion. If u go by the general rule, which is that both knockdowns cancel eachother out PERIOD, and it doesn't matter who's knockdown was more impressive, than u'd give that round to Williams.

Martinez landed cleaner punches, hurt Williams, put him down and made his eyes roll in the back of his head

                      Williams round!
