Anyone else tired of hearing that Sergio only has one legit loss on his record?

Very few of PW's punches landed heavily, martinez was landing heavily all night.

If you take in to account martinez upperbody movement (and PW's lack of movement) in rolling with punches i think it becomes clear that martinez won a cloes but fairly clear decision.

    Judges are useless btw.

PW's won because he's a volume fighter fighting at home.

To some extent the second fight backs up this view.

This. Sergio threw the more meaningful and cleaner punches.

Even he scored the fight 7-5 for Williams, the ****sexual desire for Martinez on this site is so strong that people would still be screaming and crying about the fight.

And yes, I realize he avenged that loss with a 2nd round knockout.

        Have a nice day, turds.
No.....Ithink he only has one legit loss in his career. If it weren't for that wack 10-2 scoring from that French nitwit judge, no one would be complaining about the Williams loss. It was a close fight but someone paid that judge off to ensure a Williams win

          not really, because it's true.

and I give no credit to margarito for beating him because he was still green. Records mean **** anyway, it doesn't matter how many losses a fighter has- you don't rank him based on that.

Both Williams and Martinez had a case for winning the first fight, Williams got the nod, yes the one scorecard is insane but it's not like Sergio clearly won the fight and Paul Williams had no case.

**** the judges. I saw Martinez beat Williams the first time with my own eyes. I also saw him beat Cintron twice in the same night, as well as get knocked out by Margarito. Despite his official record, he has only lost to once from my perspective.

you are absolutely right. but the fact that the french judge had his scorecard filled out before the fight started imo gives cause for the argument. a neutral judge could have seen that fight go either way. and there would have been no controversy with a close decision. but that ****ed up 118-110 card showed that sergio was already down 1-0 on the scorecards before the fight even started. because no honest judge could have had that score.

i had that fight very tight,, and with honest scoring, had no problems with a draw or either fighter winning.

defense- all martinez he barely got hit. wiliams doesn't know this category exists

effective aggression-martinez landed most of the punches he threw while williams missed most of his

ring generalship-martinez circled the ring and attacked when he wanted to and played defense when he wanted to

10-9 martinez right? unless you are an official judge then its 10-9 williams for some bizarro reason.
agree with everything, except, i wouldn't call the williams punch that knocked down sergio a grazing punch. it landed hard enough to snap sergio's head pretty violently to the left, towards sergio's left shoulder. he felt that punch, regardless of how lampley and steward saw it.

                  ^^ ouch
