McClellan-Benn pisses me off because the fight should of been stopped in the first round when McClellan dropped Benn but then the ref let him continue and kept giving McClellan ****** warnings while Benn regained his senses.

Don't know about the beef that went on before the fight, but I heard commentators say Haugen talked alot of smack, that was a brutal beating though.

The fight was held at Estadio Azteca, where it seats 100,000 people. Haugen said he wasn't sure there was 100,000 Mexicans that could afford the tickets and he kept saying how everyone Chavez fought was a taxi driver and Chavez brought it on on fight night.

oh yea...i remember now..it was the 'he's only fought tijuana cab drivers' comment from Haugen that spurred on that beating

No fights were more brutal than the following:

                  Primo Carnera vs Earnie Schaff
                  Max Baer vs Frankie Campbell
                  Bob Fitzsimmons vs Con Coughlin
                  Bob Fitzimmons vs Con Riordan(sparring)
Sugar Ray Robinson vs Jimmy Doyle

                  All TKO by death

For knockouts / fight ending brutality, Beau Jack vs Ike Williams has to be number 1 for me then Griffith - Paret III.

Some not mentioned and rarely are -

Pipino Cuevas - Billy Backus, Backus had some chin to stand the beating Cuevas was giving him for as long as he did even though it was only 2 rounds.

Carlos Palomino - John H Stracey, some what beautiful yet disgusting body punching clinic put on by Palomino, turned Straceys insides to liquid ****.

Dwight Qawi - Matthew Saad Muhammad II, a 'Saad' ending, clearly past his best here and Qawi just bullied him around like a piece of meat.

                      Hagler - Minter, wasn't pretty.

                      Trinidad - Vargas.
