so anyways, shane being either a partner or under, he was still with golden boy. he was not under any promotional contracts but he was still a stake holder. he was still affiliated. still a part of it.
And yet you can't differentiate between generating profit for a banner and making a profit off what the banner does? Really? I find that hard to believe.
when those ties were severed, the fight was made. as STATED BY SHANE HIMSELF
When which ties were severed? Specify.

so they were having troubles with landing the fight even when shane already lost to floyd, fought against mora, and already old. the factor here is him being a "partner" of GBP.

which proves my point that a huge reason why mosley didn't get the fight is because of his affiliation with gbp.
Didn't you say you have an MBA? Mosley said breaking away was easy because he didn't have "a promotional contract with Golden Boy for the last two years." That means he was already a free agent.

with that said, that doesn't make it less of a crap fight.
    What else is new.

It's not leftovers when Shane has a argument to make that he won the cotto fight (Which your ****** ass obviously never watched) And JMM bloodies up Pac in a Draw and a rematch SD loss which almost ALL of Press Row scored in favor of JMM.

Did you forget that Pac wants to fight Marquez at 147
also, even though Pac weighs in 144 day of after a FULL English Breakfast.

And too be fair, Martinez has 2 losses and apparently, another draw besides the Cintron one.

Martinez has a argument to make for this, plain and simple.

EDIT: And Pac never fought Marquez at 135. both fights happened at 130.
Last edited by I_like_wendys; 03-16-2011, 11:13 AM. Reason: Cuz Pac and Marquez fight at 130.

in this interview martinez says pac is number one,and just last night he was interviewed in a spanish speaking station on espn and he said he thought mayweather is number one, that he would fight him,he talked about what the lowest is he would go down to and he said 154,anything else would be too hard,he said he was on his way to mexico to visit battered women and childrens hospital...thats a good show by the way, anybody here who speaks spanish don't know if they know about it,you can listen to it on espndeportesradio...it's on at 10pm pacific time..monday-fri..one hour.or of course on the radio

him being a partner of gbp makes him a gbp fighter by default. gbp negotiates shane's fights

just like how shane stated that GBP WAS HAVING TROUBLE LANDING THE PACQUIAO FIGHT.

you know what that means? gbp was trying to negotiate the pacquiao fight. last time i recall, that's what promoters do. unfortunately, they failed.

shane landed the fight when he left, which brings me to

shane wanted out because gbp prefers the Marquez fight, at least according to shane.

his exact role in GBP is not pretty clear , but what's clear is he's still affiliated with them, and STILL A PART OF IT. STILL A STAKE HOLDER.

he left and caused a bit of drama as you may recall. wouldn't happen if he was a full blown free agent now would it?

yes, he was technically a free agent. but considering the fact that gbp promotes his fights and identifies himself as a "partner", he was a de facto gbp fighter.

so there are no legal ties between mosley and gbp that is why he was able to leave the company without legal issues after doing so. just a pissed off oscar and schaeffer.

the point is, he is part of GBP, whether it is on a piece of paper or not.

when he made it public that there is no more affiliation, whatever the hell that may be, the fight was made.

Umm how so? Is Richard Schafer a fighter? Hey, he's a partner! WTF?
just like how shane stated that GBP WAS HAVING TROUBLE LANDING THE PACQUIAO FIGHT.
                  Yes, they were.

Yeah, that's what promoters do. What's your point? As a free agent, he can use whoever he wants.

He can have anyone promote his fight. He's a FREE AGENT and has been for years.

Yeah Cotto, the guy that Mayweather didn't fought cuz he lives in puerto rico.

Yup, Margarito....the guy that Floyd didn't fought cuz " by not fighting, he'll prove to the fans who the best is"
