Well, Shane was free and available, the same time Manny was. After he knocked out Hatton, they could have set up a fight. I mean, Manny didn't fight Miguel until November of 2009.Comment

I honestly feel that they had to KNOW that Shane was done before they fought him. That is why they are fighting them now. And, there isn't really anything anyone can say to change me from thinking that way.Comment

I don't care about Golden boy or Top Rank at the end of the day Mosley was considered a threat back then hence them wanting him to come down to 143 now he hasn't picked up a win in over 2 years and he is now 40 team pac give the go ahead to fight at 147....what a joke
im not hating but when your past three opponents are Clottey,Margarito and Mosley I don't think you should hold onto top p4p status with that level of opponent.

Yeah but all the talk of Mosley wanting to fight Pacquiao didn't start until he was already set to fight Cotto. We've seen the last couple years that Arum has guys in mind for Pacquiao to fight before he has even finished his ongoing fight, and Cotto was ready to be made the second Hatton hit the canvas. So Mosley opening his mouth about wanting to fight Pacquiao when was already going to fight Cotto means nothing to me.Comment

Yea...when you can just outdo this person by FIGHTING them.Sometimes I just don’t get some of you guys. The fight isn’t great, get that out of the way. But, is it really that wrong to want to outdo somebody? So because Shane Mosley has been beat by Forrest (2x), Wright (2x), Miguel Cotto and Floyd Maywather, I guess that means Manny shouldn’t strive to win because it’s already in the bag? It’s like some of you just sit there, waiting for something, anything to b*tch about. Aren’t these statements obvious enough where they don’t actually need to be said or heard? We already know Manny (by Koncz account) will want to outdo those that have beaten Mosley, the same way Mosley will look to outdo Morales in Pacquiao. How is this a surprise?Comment

I totally agree and I would also go as far as saying team Pac inadvertently made it obvious that this was the case.Comment

This is from MAY 2009. Shane was willing to drop down to fight Manny.Yeah but all the talk of Mosley wanting to fight Pacquiao didn't start until he was already set to fight Cotto. We've seen the last couple years that Arum has guys in mind for Pacquiao to fight before he has even finished his ongoing fight, and Cotto was ready to be made the second Hatton hit the canvas.
