But c'mon man can you honestly think of a big name more worthy of holding a a belt and actually defending it against anyone? Cotto's preserves himself like a great champion, all fanboyism aside. This is hardly handing him a belt since he rewards fans with great fights and you can tell he gives his 110%

If this new santioning body from Puerto Rico wants to be known as the one with the true champion in their respective divisions, their first impression wasn't very promising. They awarded it to the winner of Cotto vs. Mayorga and Cotto was a 10 to 1 favorite and also happens to be a Puerto Rican fighter. Everyone knew Cotto would win and they basically just handed him the title just like all the other BS sanctioning bodies do. Good job guys...

I understand your logic, but honestly now; What has Cotto done to earn a title at 154? He beat Foreman with one leg who just got beat when he had 2, and Mayorga who hasn't been mentioned in any meaningful conversation at 154 in several years.

What a joke of a belt. If I was Cotto's next opponent and I beat Cotto I would tell him he can keep that worthless belt cuz I aint paying sanctioning fees for a unrecognized belt.

The WBB has been around for years. Bert Cooper was WBB Heavyweight Champion.
