It is really no big deal, it was a solid shot but more importantly it was landed when he wasn't expecting it. It could happen to any fighter just the same whether the guy is "feather fisted" or not...........Rockin'

People act as if Ortiz has zero heart whatsoever. He took some big punches and got knockd down before he folded. Berto has a bad chin. He's been rocked a lot. His team has carefully avoided guys who can test that (Urango is slow and easy to time).

So it works both ways really. Ortiz has more pop than Collazo, the best guy Berto has faced. He's much quicker than Quintana. Ortiz is facing a guy just as vulnerable as him. He has more to lose. I give him a good shot.

gift draw?! hahahaha u serious man? I'm not even gonna front and say Ortiz won that fight easily, because he didn't win it easily. I gave Peterson 4 rounds in that fight, and Ortiz had a 10-7 round in the 3rd!!!

Berto's a lot more careful (or should I say hugful) now. Although he does get careless sometimes, for example the Quintana fight.

Plus Ortiz has been down like 4 times in his career, with two of them being taxi drivers. That proves nothing. Young guys get reckless.

He was really hurt is must say. He might have gotten KO'd if the bell didn't save him.

I think what it shows is that Berto has a pattern of getting hit by a variety of Southpaw punches. He was hurt and hit a lot against Collazo(who I believe was coming off of another inactive period), hit and hurt by Quintana( Also coming off of another inactive period) and Cosme Rivera, not a guy known for his trickinness and ability to box southpaw simply turned and found the opening. Obviously some of that was the element of surprise but Ortiz to me has the perfect style and the key here is level of activity and competition to the the title away from Berto.
